My Cottage in France

This is my lovely cottage in Brittany, France. I bought this place as a run down barn that at the time was an unused building on a farm which used to be used for sheltering animals. I decided to move abroad to seek a better lifestyle for myself and my husband who had both recently retired, and I'm glad to say that we haven't looked back.
This place is everything I have ever wanted and I wouldn't change a thing! The atmosphere is so laid back and standard of living far exceeds my expectations.
The language barrier was initially a problem for us both as we hadn't really prepared ourselves well enough in this department. Over the years living here we have become a core part of the community that has seen lots of development.
I would advise anyone thinking about moving to a property abroad just to go ahead and do it, it was a big step for us and lots of planning went into it but it has paid off... Follow your dreams!
